March 7 Parent Meeting and Important Dates

March 7 As a reminder, we have our mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday night, 7-8pm for the girl rowers and 8-9pm for the boy rowers at the High School in room 103 (of the main entrance). It is important to attend not only to meet the new coaches, but to hear first hand about the Back River location we will be rowing out of starting on March 19th. While the coaches have strong experience with wet launching, it will be new to many of the rowers as well as the parents. If inclement weather prevents us from having the meeting because the school is closed, you’ll be notified by e-mail by 5pm latest on Wednesday and we’ll re-schedule for sometime the following week based upon school availability.

March 11

By now you’ll have seen we’ve opened registration. Please locate your child’s uniforms and have them try them on; if a new uniform is needed, it can be ordered until midnight on March 11th at the Uniform Store on the web-site.

April 7

The Spring Social and Fundraiser will be held on Saturday April 7th. Aside from the Fall Ergathon, this is our main fundraiser to pay for and upgrade our boats and equipment. More details will be send within the next week.

April 16-20

We will be offering a fun Spring break practice week, which will include rowing on the Charles River, stadium running at Harvard, and local extended practices in Hingham. More details to follow; this is a critical part of Spring training for the varsity regatta season so please plan on having your rowers attend.

Crew Spring Awards banquet
