Sydney Blasetti

A Hingham native, Sydney returned to her roots as the Boys’ assistant coach in 2021, before becoming Head Girls Coach since 2022. A former rower and captain of Hingham Crew, class of ’16, Sydney continued her rowing career at Boston University on scholarship, graduating in 2020. At BU, she competed at the NCAA Division I level, gaining invaluable experience and further honing her leadership and technical skills, which she now brings to her coaching. Sydney has also coached at the Hingham Maritime Center every summer for the past 10 years, working with young rowers and sharing her passion for the sport. Outside of coaching, Sydney is a 3rd-grade teacher at South Elementary School. She also enjoys the outdoors and being with her family, in which she is the eldest of four girls. Her strong family connections reflect the values of teamwork, patience, and dedication that she instills in her athletes.
