MPSRA Spring Championships

Massachusetts Public School Rowing Association runs our

state public school championships, with our entire team competing!

NEW LOCATION: Due to this spring's extreme weather and Thursday's rain, rising water levels and flooding on the Merrimack have created unsafe conditions. As a result race organizers have pivoted to Watuppa Pond in Fall River, MA.

ATHLETE INFO

Two bus departures... please know which bus you're on!

Boys 1V, Girls 1V and 2V crews must meet in front of HHS by 5:00 AM sharp.

All other crews must meet in front of HHS by 9:00 AM sharp.

Please either eat breakfast at home or bring on the bus to eat on the way down.

A reminder to BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLES! Hospitality is not supplying cups.

Athletes please bring your Food Asks to the Parent Hospitality Car before getting on the bus.

Please bring enough for 6-8 rowers:

Boys 4V - Desserts (nut-free)

Girls 4V - Desserts (nut-free)

Girls 5V - Bunch of Grapes (your choice - red or green)

Girls 1N - Carton of Strawberries

RACE SCHEDULE

*Time trials will be in the morning to qualify for finals in the afternoon. (Only boats with more than 6 entries in their category have time trials. All others go straight to finals. 1V crews will qualify for EITHER Grand or Petit Finals.)

8:00am — Girls 2V (time trial)

8:08am — Boys 1V (time trial)

8:16am — Girls 1V (time trial)

1:24pm — Girls 1N

1:53pm — Girls 4V and 5V

2:00pm — Boys 4V

2:21pm — Girls 3V

2:28pm — Boys 3V

2:49pm — Girls 2V

2:56pm — Boys 2V

3:31pm — Girls 1V (Grands)

3:38pm — Girls 1V (Petits)

3:45pm — Boys 1V (Grands)

3:52pm — Boys 1V (Petits)

Races at this venue are typically viewed via drone as unfortunately there are no spots to watch along the course; however, there will be a livestream! We will post the link in GroupMe as soon as we have it. We know the limited viewing is far from ideal for the last regatta of the year, but please bear with the race organizers as they do their best to give our athletes a championship race.

For those who do wish to attend in person, there will be limited parking available next door, just a short 5-minute walk from the boathouse. Please enter "Spectrum Lighting (Fall River) into your GPS.
