HHSRA has grown from a roster of 20 when it was founded in 2006 to now 100 HHS students participating on average in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Crew is now the second largest sport at HHS, with 1 out of every 12 students participating. The team has had much success—this past fall bringing home two gold, four silver, and four bronze medals from regattas across New England, racing four boats in the Head of the Charles and winning the Massachusetts State Championships!

 

Hingham Crew is a no cut team that welcomes all HHS students interested in being a part of it all. The team has grown so quickly, our biggest challenge is acquiring and maintaining all the equipment to support our growing roster of athletes—from rowing shells to oars to cox boxes to ergs. We are hosting the March 1st Ergathon to help provide our athletes with the equipment they need to train and compete—and keep bringing home the wins for Hingham.
