Join Us For The Crew Challenge!


A fun family event happening on November 2nd at the Hingham High Track and Field facility. 


K-12 and adults learn to erg (stationary rowing machines) and partake in some friendly racing competition! 


Also, enjoy a Mass MVMNT workout and instruction, live music provided by local band “Not Today” and yummy food! Tix $20 in advance from a Crew member or from Mass MVMNT on 211 Lincoln street or; $25 day of event.

Everyone must have a signed waiver on file to particpate in any event.

*Participants under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. 

Funds generated support the HHS Crew Team with 10% going to the Allison Clarke Memorial Fund. Rain date is Nov 3


Purchase tickets from an HHS Crew Team member, at Mass MVMNT (211 Lincoln St) or at the event!

About this event for K-12 and Adults of All Ages: 

Annual fundraiser to sustain and buy new equipment and help fund the Hingham High School program for this year’s athletes and for the athletes of the crew future.  


Note: races and Challenges may happen any time between 10 and 3pm


1.      Team events (2000m):  HS students or Adults can create a team

  • Only (2) two Hingham crew rowers allowed on each team

  • For grades 9-12 and Adults

  • All teams have to have at least one member of opposite gender

  • Each team member must row at least 200 meters, and no one member can row more than 500. 

  • All teams must have a team name, and provided at registration.

  • Special prize for team with best name/costume 


2.      Challenge a High School or Master rower: 

  • Anyone can challenge a rower or coach to erg against

  • Challenge a rower or coach:  250 m


3.      Races by Grade:  

K-8 grades will have individual races (best time in each grade wins T shirt).  Brief instruction provided on how to use erg, at least 4 monitors overseeing each race

  • K-3: Fish game for 2 minutes (highest score wins)

  • 4-5: 100 m 

  • 6-8: 200 m 

  • 9+: 250 m


4.      Circuit Training:  

30-minute circuit training workouts with MASSMVMNT, sessions will be held at 12:30 and 1:30 on a first come first serve basis.

5.      Touch/get in a boat: 

For those up to Kindergarten ages we will have fun activities to keep them busy.


6.      Music: 

The local Hingham band Not Today, will be playing for a part of this event – tentatively scheduled for 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
