INTRODUCING NEW COACHES!

The Spring season is nearly upon us, and I'd like to introduce two new coaches, Eve Goldenberg and Kelsey Maymon. Both coaches will be working with the team through the end of winter training, getting the boys ready for Spring.

EVE GOLDENBERG, Varsity Boys’ Head Coach

Eve Goldenberg has been coaching since her senior year in college; in the mornings she’d coach on one side of the Harlem River, then cross to the other side two hours later to row as a walk-on. Eve has coached the Novice Women at Columbia University, the Novice Women at the University of New Hampshire, the JV Girls at Phillips Exeter Academy, the Varsity Girls at Deerfield Academy, and the JV Boys at CRI. Since moving from Deerfield to Boston in 2015, Eve has coached masters’ women, U23 women, and assisted the Girls’ crew at Noble and Greenough. In 2014 and 2015, her Deerfield Girls Varsity 4+ crew won NEIRAs, going on to win Youth Nationals both years. In 2016, the Nobles Girls Varsity 4+ earned silver at NEIRAs, and came in 6th at Youth Nationals; and in 2017 her CRI Boys’ 4+ earned bronze at the USRowing Northeast Regional Regatta, coming in 5th at Youth Nationals. Eve has two teenage daughters, two rescue dogs, and teaches English at Milton Academy.

KELSEY MAYMON, Varsity Boys’ Assistant Coach

Kelsey Maymon is a recent graduate from the University of Rhode Island, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, while being a key member of URI’s competitive Division I rowing team. Kelsey was captain of her team during her senior year, while holding internships, working with physical therapists and athletic trainers alike. This past summer, Kelsey helped coach U23 women race competitively in small boats, while teaching youth novices to take their first strokes in a boat. She just returned from two months of traveling, hiking and camping the mountains of New Zealand, and is thrilled to have come back to join Hingham’s rowing program.

Please join me in welcoming both Eve and Kelsey to the Boys’ Varsity team. As always if you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Thank you,

Logan Greenlee
